Credit cards can be used in several different ways. If you pay off the balance at the end of each month, they are basically used as a charge card. However, some people use them as a way to get a loan. When this happens credit cards start acquiring debt. Since credit cards usually have some of the highest interest rates possible, this is usually a very bad thing.
